Family Commitment
At Creation Acres, our school is more than a place to learn. It’s a community where we’re building something together, not just for students, but with families.
As a microschool, we intentionally keep our environment small, connected, and deeply personal. One of the ways we preserve this is through active family involvement.
When families contribute their time and gifts, it strengthens our community, enriches the student experience, and helps us steward our resources well.
Why Family Involvement Matters
Family participation is a meaningful part of life at Creation Acres. It allows us to:
- Build strong relationships between families
- Create memorable experiences for students
- Care for and improve our shared environment
- Maintain a close-knit, supportive community
- Help keep tuition as accessible as possible
We don’t view this as simply “volunteering,” but as a shared investment in the life of the school.
Annual Commitment
We ask each family to contribute service hours throughout the year in a way that fits their schedule and strengths.
Full-Time Families
- 20 hours during the school year
- 5 hours during the summer
Summer hours typically involve campus projects that help us prepare and care for our learning environment.
Hybrid Families
- 10 hours during the school year
Ways to Contribute
There are many ways to be involved, and families are encouraged to serve in areas that align with their interests and availability. We will send out a list of opportunities periodically throughout the school year.
Examples include:
- Supporting school events and gatherings
- Assisting with classroom needs or projects
- Helping with campus improvement (gardens, maintenance, setup)
- Photography, communications, or outreach
- Coordinating field trips or special activities
We aim to offer a variety of opportunities, so every family can participate in a meaningful way.
A Flexible, Community-Centered Approach
We understand that every family’s season of life looks different. Our goal is not rigid perfection, but consistent participation.
We’re building something special together, a place where children feel known, families feel connected, and learning extends beyond the classroom.
When families contribute, students see firsthand what it means to serve, invest, and belong to a community.
