FAQs
Q. When can I take a tour?
A. Tours of our current location are offered every Tuesday afternoon. Email info@creationacres.com to book a time slot. Tours of the new location have not begun.
Q. Will all ages, 5-15, learn together?
A. Students will be split into smaller mixed-age groups. There will be time for whole-group activities, but for safety and age-appropriate class content, students will primarily learn within smaller age ranges.
Q. Is this a drop-off program?
A. Yes
Q. Are two days required?
A. Yes, for the sake of building community and contribution to ongoing projects that span multiple days
Q. Is this a Montessori program?
A. No, the Montessori approach integrates all subjects and can't be carried out authentically in a hybrid model that does not provide the consistency of certified guides, a prepared environment, and a full set of Montessori materials. However, many elements of Montessori, such as meaningful work, respect for the child, and empowerment through independence, will be central to this program. You can learn more about our Montessori program here.
Q. Who are the teachers?
A. This program is being led by two amazing coordinators with combined experience in homeschooling, homesteading, leading co-ops, and designing educational programs. We are bringing on expert teachers and specialists to occasionally guide lessons. Additionally, we are hiring experienced educators who will work more closely with the students. Experience in teaching, farm life, and homesteading is preferred. If interested, send your resume to info@creationacres.com.
Q. Will this program be a fit for a neurodivergent child or a child with a learning disability?
A. Every child is different. This depends on the needs of a specific child. Our educators are not therapists and can't provide constant one-on-one assistance or handle extreme behavioral or learning differences. Email info@creationacres.com with any specific questions.

Applied Academics
Core subjects are strengthened through meaningful, real-world work rather than studied in isolation. We know many homeschool families cover math and language arts at home. Our role is to apply those skills in purposeful contexts. Students engage in projects that require measurement, research, analysis, writing, and problem-solving. They use what they are learning at home in ways that are practical, integrated, and intellectually challenging.
New Location
We’re also looking ahead to an exciting chapter this fall with plans to grow into an expanded farm space in the Mint Hill-Matthews area of Charlotte, opening up new opportunities for outdoor learning, exploration, and deeper connection to the land.
Learning Together Across Ages
For ages 5 to 15, learners spend time both with peers their own age and in mixed-age groups, creating a supportive community where younger children are closely guided and cared for, while older students are encouraged to take on meaningful roles, collaborate, and stay deeply engaged.
